City of Sydney’s Angela Vithoulkas to contest election under platform of “reimagining local government”

I just can’t and won’t give up on Small Business. I have been fighting for small business all around Australia for more than 9 years. I spoke with the Sydney Sentinel about the why and my 7 point plan for the City of Sydney.  How I have reimagined local government.

“This is not good for democracy and it’s not what a vital, dynamic, international city like Sydney needs,” said Ms Vithoulkas, who describes herself as “dead centre” politically.

I reveal my City of Sydney policy platform. A bold new vision for reimaging local government.  My 7 point plan.

“I acknowledge that Clover has an enormous support base and she’s been very effective at what she does.” So why am I running against her?

“Because I believe I have something to contribute. I’ve been a councillor since 2012, and I’ve learned a lot since then. I believe I’ve earned my stripes and I want to contribute at the highest level I can,”.

“And with all respect to Clover Moore, I believe she’s become comfortable and insulated from the grassroots – whereas I believe I have that connection.

“I know I am the underdog – and I’m OK with that,” she said. “As hard as it is to imagine today, Clover used to be an underdog too.

“I’m in it to win it.”
